CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION

HARC is working on both the policy responses of climate change i.e. mitigation and adaptation with an objective of livelihood of marginal farmers. By various activities of restoration of ecosystem services HARC addresses the root cause of climate change and with promotion of climate smart agriculture adaptation we seeks to lower the risks posed by the consequences of climatic changes. Taking mitigation and adaptation to policy level with local and state level department is already been set in motion.

Marginal farmers tend to be more vulnerable to climate risks and team at HARC is working on implementation of new technologies, suitable land management techniques, promotion of climate resilient varieties of crops and water-use efficiency related techniques as an intervention for climate change adaptation. We, at HARC study the climate-related impacts in agriculture and institutionalize farmers to build their capacities toward changing climatic conditions.
